What to do nowThe amount and exact position of a wheel weight come from the balancing machine. A shop should inspect the wheel, remove old adhesive correctly, prepare the bond area, and rebalance before installing a replacement.
The adhesive is only as good as the surface underneath it. A weight can feel attached in the bay and still release later if the bond formed against contamination, residue, old adhesive, or a poorly prepared surface.
