What is Bubble Check?
Bubble Check is a spray-on tire and compressed-air leak detector made in the USA by CHAOS Moto. It is water and surfactant. Spray it on a suspected leak point and escaping air forms bubbles at the source, so there is no dunk tank.
How do you find a slow tire leak with Bubble Check?
Inflate the tire to its specified pressure, then spray the likely leak points: the valve core and stem, TPMS service points, the bead and rim sealing line, and any puncture in the tread. Watch for bubbles that keep growing and mark the spot.
Why not just use soapy water?
You can, but a homemade soap mix changes every time someone refills the bottle, and dish soap suds can cover the whole wheel and hide a small leak. Bubble Check is ready to use with no mixing. It is low foam, so it stays flat until air moves through it and the bubble marks the leak, not the whole wheel. It sprays from a trigger bottle with the wheel still on the car. It is water and surfactant, pH neutral and non-flammable, with a published SDS and TDS.
Can Bubble Check be used on TPMS valve stems?
Yes. CHAOS supports Bubble Check on valve cores and stems and TPMS service points, as well as tread punctures, bead and rim sealing lines, post-repair checks, inner tubes, and water-compatible shop compressed-air components.
What is Bubble Check not for?
CHAOS has not obtained specific testing, approvals, or certifications for refrigerant, propane, natural-gas, oxygen, or nitrox service. The current SDS lists it as an eye irritant, so use eye protection and gloves.
